El amor de una madre es la energía que sana y aporta protección a los hijos, al grado de incluso exponer su vida con tal de que sus retoños alcances la felicidad deseada y un ejemplo de ellos es la historia de Julie Loving, una mujer de 51 años que dará a luz a su primer nieto para que su hija Breanna Lockwoord cumpla su sueño de formar una familia completa, al tener complicaciones para embarazarse. Obviamente que esta historia protagonizada en la vida real generó un gran alboroto en las redes sociales, pues durante varios años, Breanna, de 29 años y su esposo Aaron Lockwood, de 28, han tratado de convertirse en padres, pero después de 476 inyecciones, ocho transferencias de embriones congelados, dos abortos espontáneos y un embarazo ectópico, finalizaron desconsolados. When I think back to my pregnancies with my own children, I can’t help to laugh in disbelief at how much I took for granted. Once the pregnancy test came back positive.. I knew I was having a baby. The months leading up to delivery were carefree. But the last 3 years have been a gut-wrenching exposure to what women struggling with infertility issues deal with daily and how often they hide the emotional despair and pain from others. Now each day is taken with gratitude as this journey moves onward and each day the hope continues to build. I have frequently had people ask me why I offered to carry Breanna and Aaron’s baby, and I wish I could express something other than simple words to describe how I feel. The love of a mother holding her sick or injured child in her arms, she would do anything to make them feel better or take away the pain. The love of a mother feels the pain of their children when she can see sadness in their eyes instead of happiness. In the past few years, I saw my daughter’s beautiful eyes begin to fill with despair and pain as her dreams of being a mother seemed to slowly slip away from her and I knew I could help if she wanted me to. I will never forget the devastating emotional pain I experienced when I was with Breanna and she was told she lost the twins. The memory of that event is a constant haunting reminder and overwhelming fear that I could lose this baby inside me. Each kick I feel is a welcome assurance that the baby is continuing to thrive and grow. I am thankful she is an active little one as when too much time goes by without me feeling her, the concerns start to creep back in. Every week that goes by and every day that we get closer to me bringing my daughters child into this world, helps me think of positive things ahead. Fue allí donde comenzaron la fertilización vitro. Después de cuatro años de esperanza, seguidos de dolor y angustia, dejaron de intentarlo. La única opción que quedaba era encontrar un sustituto, que puede costar más de cien mil dólares. Breanna explicó en qué consiste su padecimiento. Se trata del síndrome de Asherman, que se caracteriza por la presencia de adherencias y/o fibrosis dentro de la cavidad uterina debido a cicatrices, que evitan que pueda completar un embarazo. Breanna reveló al Chicago Tribune: "Física y mentalmente, sabía que superaría cualquier cosa, pero no hay mucho en lo que puedas ayudar económicamente, y creo que eso es lo que me asustó", dijo. Justo cuando pensaban que toda esperanza estaba perdida, la madre de Breanna, Julie Loving, quien durante años, Loving observó impotente cómo Breanna y Aaron intentaban incansablemente comenzar a construir una familia propia, se hizo presente. After many many years of infertility and loss, we had our doctor come to us and say that ultimately my uterus was incapable of growing a child. On our path to become parents, I had a few miscarriages, and one that required a D&C (procedure to remove pregnancy) and I developed a condition called Ashermans Syndrome. Ashermans Syndrome is where bands of scar tissue form inside your uterus. Most commonly from a D&C procedure. Google will tell you it’s rare, but that’s not true. It mostly goes undiagnosed. I had no idea this could happen prior to going in to the operating room that day, and I am still devastated by it. My mama came to me multiple times offering to carry for us. My response? I laughed. “you crazy!?” lol... I did not think that was even possible. My mom, Julie, is 51 years old and had already been through menopause! But she was persistent. One thing about my mom is when she sets her mind to something, she goes for it. She’s a hardcore athlete, who’s completed multiple Boston marathons and super into heath and fitness. She sets a goal and she goes for it. Since we already had been through IVF, and my husband and I had no issues creating embryos with my egg and his sperm. Half the work was done. Our embryos were frozen already waiting for us. Once our fertility doctor was on board, he prepared my moms body to carry, taking her out of menopause through hormone therapy, and the rest fell into place. Julie is 36 weeks with our baby girl! Her first grandchild! This has been the wildest ride of our lives. We are so grateful for my mom and that we were given this opportunity ... I don’t think there’s ever been a morning I don’t wake up and pinch myself. Thanks for joining us on this adventure!
